Sanitary Environmental Industrial Laboratory

The Sanitary Environmental Industrial Laboratory (SEIL) is an independent division of the JSC “Krastsvetmet”. The laboratory was established in order to work on certification of workplaces and to exercise industrial, environmental and sanitary control of compliance and fulfillment of the environmental legislation requirements, plans and measures on production and environment protection (Federal Law “On Protection of the Environment” of 10.01.2002).

The SEIL is accredited within the System of Analytical Laboratories Accreditation, which meets the requirements of the International Standard ISO / IEC 17025:1999 (GOST of Russia ISO / IEC 17025-2000) for technical competence and independence in the field claimed.

The scope of the SEIL accreditation is extensive and includes the following objects of analytical work:

• the air in populated places, the air in industrial sites, industrial emissions into the atmosphere;

• the air of the working area (chemical factors of the working environment);

• waste water, natural groundwater;

• physical factors of the working environment.

All the objects mentioned above have been chosen and are controlled according to the requirements of federal laws: № 7 “On Protection of the Environment”, № 96 “On Protection of the Atmosphere” and the Set of Rules of 1.1.2193-07 “On organization and conduct of the manufacturing inspection of compliance with health regulations and implementation of sanitary and epidemiological (preventive) measures”.

Twice a year the SEIL takes part in interlaboratory parallel testing conducted by accreditation body Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Ural Research Institute of Metrology”. Our laboratory shows excellent results in the testing, its work proves to meet high requirements of GOST 5725 and 17025-2006
