Refined Platinum State Standard Material GSO 8434-2003

GSO of refined platinum composition can be applied in analytical laboratories carrying out noble metals analysis and certification tests for deviation control of measurements methods to determine impurities content in platinum ПлА-0; ПлА-1, ПлА-2, as per GOST 12341-81; Пл 999.8, Пл 999.5, as per GOST R 51704-2001 and ПлАп-0, ПлАп-1, ПлАп-2, as per GOST 14837-79. GSO standard materials of platinum composition have been manufactured from one cast, using the method similar to that of JSC Krastsvetmet’s finished production. The material was certified according to the method of interlaboratory experiment, with 7 appropriately accredited laboratories involved.

The certifyed GSO characteristics are mass fractions of palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, lead, gold, iron, silicon, tin, aluminum, antimony, silver, copper, nickel, magnesium, zinc, bismuth, calcium, manganese, molybdenum and chrome. The information on GSO 8434-2003 is included in the «COMAR2 » database for certified reference materials.

Platinum State Standard Materials can have the shape of a cylinder (40±1 mm diameter, 10-50 mm high); a rod (6±1 mm diameter, 30-60 mm long); rolled metal (0.2-1.0 mm thick, 30-60 mm long and 10-40 mm wide), chips (0.1 – 0.3 mm thick, fineness not more than 1 mm).

GoldAlloy StateStandard Materials GSO 8754-2006 – GSO 8763-2006

(Государственные стандартные образцы состава золота лигатурного ГСО 8754-2006 – ГСО 8763- 2006)

In 2006 10 types of Gold Alloy State Standard Materials were developed.

Gold Alloy State Standard materials are applied for metrological assurance of analytical control in gold-mining and processing industries and in analytical laboratories of metallurgical and gold-mining enterprises to carry out analysis and certification testing.

State standard material is gold, silver and copper alloy (gold purity not less than 99.99% as per GOST 28058-89, silver purity not less than 99.99 as per GOST 28595-90, copper purity not less than 99.905 as per GOST 859-2001). At present Gold Alloy GSO paperwork is being processed to be included in International Standard Reference Materials Lists.
