The Quality Policy In 2001 JSC “The Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant” worked out and adopted the system of quality management in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2000. The system of quality management operates successfully, in November 2008 it underwent a regular audit conducted by “Bureau Veritas Rus Certification” company.
The system of quality management spreads on the following spheres of the plant’s activity:
- precious metals production, designing and production of precious metals (or precious metals alloys) compounds and items;
- designing, production and sale of precious metals jewelry.
Results of the quality control activity:
· more than 60 patterns of quality management systems have been worked out;
· internal auditing of the plant and its subdivisions’ activity in accordance with international standards ISO 9001:2000, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14000:2004, and also in accordance with the normative documents of management systems;
· planned teaching of all the workers and specialists of the plant and all its subdivisions on the subject of quality control and environmental protection;
· annual conference “Quality Management” organized and sponsored by JSC “Krastsvetmet” has been held annually for six years;
· resource-saving production methods are being introduced into jewellery production;
· developing a monitoring of refining technology processes which would give all the interested participants of the technological process an access to the results of technological operations by the use of information systems;
· introduction of the electronic documents circulation systems: “Electronic Archives”, “Electronic Reconciliation and Viewing of Contracts”, “Quality Management Systems Auditing”, “Control of Fulfilling the Assignments in Accordance with the Documents”.
An important role in maintenance of the management system is played by the internal auditing procedure. In order to improve this procedure “Computer-aided System – Internal Auditing” has been created on the basis of the “Lotus” and was adopted in 2007. This system contains time schedule of internal audits, paragraphs and demands of standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. It is connected with “Structure of the Organization”, “Corrective and Preventive Actions” and other systems.
Advantages of the system:
· Timely informing of all the persons concerned (auditors, directors and authorized representatives) about auditing dates, paragraphs and demands of standards;
· registration of auditing results;
· harmonization of auditing results by heads of the plant’s subdivisions and entering of decisions about the needed corrective actions in the system.
Computer-aided System “Corrective and Preventive Actions” is an important instrument of the identified mismatches removal (both during the auditing and during other activities).
In this system mismatches are classified into categories and organized in a chronological order. Each “mismatch” includes filled-in bookmarks:
· mismatch description;
· the measures taken;
· description of the corrective and preventive actions;
· effectiveness.
The bookmarks can contain attached files referring the problem in question or including additional information: reports, orders, letters of explanation, etc.
It is possible to access the system in Reading Mode from any computerized workplace. Information is entered in the system by persons directly involved in solving of the given problem.
JSC “Krastsvetmet” has also designed and adopted the system of ecological management and the system of job and industrial safety management.
In November, 2009 the integrated management system underwent certification and proved to satisfy the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2000, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14000:2004.
JSC “Krastsvetmet” has participated in the contest “100 Best Goods of Russia” for many years. The following products and services were prize-winners in nominations “Industrial Goods for Customers” and “Services”: gold/silver/platinum refining, gold/palladium/platinum chains, catalyst systems, chloroplatinic acid, palladium jewellery (men’s collection). In 2010 hollow gold chains and wires for thermoelectric transducers became prize-winners.
